About Us
The Himalaya-Indo Ocean Council for Indian subcontinent Affairs and Foreign Relations, abbreviated as The Hind Council is an interdisciplinary think-and-do tank and intra-regional research network. The Hind Council is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization that aims in making a positive contribution through cutting-edge research for the cooperation and integration of the Indian subcontinent and its global-centric future.
The council seeks to articulate a supranationalistic perspective on common issues and challenges. The Council supports and conducts cutting-edge research on physiographic, geopolitical, geocultural and strategic factors of/on the Ind’subcontinent and foreign affairs. The Council takes part in shaping the pan-subcontinent debates, building pan-subcontinent coalitions to address the common heritage, indigenous knowledge systems, sustainable environment, combined self-reliance, natural disasters, regional threats, common challenges and choices the people are facing in bringing about policy change.
